September 23rd, 2009“And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.” Acts 2:47
I am continually moved by this quote in the Bible. The Lord was adding new souls to the church day by day. This is an amazing statement. Each day, according to the previous passage (v46) they continued with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God, and having favor with all the people. Wow! This was a church focused on what God wanted … making every day count for personal growth and sharing with others. What was the result? They were growing day by day with new believers. PHF must focus on unity, fellowship, worship, and devoting ourselves to pray and the study of God’s Word to see real day by day adding to our number by God. This is my desire… seeing God add to our number through new souls coming to Christ! Pray that we will be a 2nd chapter of Acts church seeing the awesome power of God move in us and through us and day by day God will be adding to our numbers!
